Crime is Historical. It is from past which involves illegal Activities such as theft, fraud, forgery etc. Abuse of computers has given birth to new Crime as Cybercrimes. Due to this an act was passed known as IT ACT 2000 to regulate, monitor and minimize the cybercrimes over Internet.

IT ACT 2008
Known as ITAA, 2008 was passed by the parliament on December 23, 2008 in 26 minutes. It focuses mainly on Section 67, Section 69, Section 69A and Section 69B. New amendment was brought in changes in section 43 of IT act 2000 and the penalty may increase to 1 Crore. Section 66 has been amended for increasing the punishment up to three or five years. Section 69A and Section 69B are added.
